Introduction

BityCash is a financial analytics app for Shopify merchants. We help you understand your real profit by connecting your store data, expenses, and ad spend in one place. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

By installing and using BityCash, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

What We Collect

We only collect the minimum data necessary to provide and operate our services.

• Store and order data — sales, revenue, and order information from your Shopify store, used to calculate profit metrics and business health score.
• Product data — product names, prices, and cost of goods from your Shopify product catalog, used to calculate per-product margins and profitability.
• Merchant account information — store name, shop domain, and email address for authentication, account management, and support.
• Expenses you manually enter or import — costs added or imported into BityCash to track your business spending.
• Ad platform data — aggregated ad spend and campaign performance from Meta Ads and Google Ads (if connected).

How We Use It

We use the data we collect solely to provide, operate, and improve the BityCash service:

• Calculating your store's profit, margins, and revenue trends
• Analyzing product performance and per-product profitability
• Generating your Business Health Score and smart alerts
• Displaying ad spend and return on ad spend across platforms
• Enabling expense tracking, reports, and exports
• Providing customer support when you reach out to us

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to delivering our service.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for commercial gain. Your data is used solely to provide and improve the BityCash service for your store and is never used for advertising or resale.

We may share data with trusted infrastructure providers strictly for the purpose of operating the service. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and are not permitted to use your data for any other purpose.

Third-Party Integrations

BityCash connects to the following external platforms when you authorize us to do so:

• Shopify — We access your store's orders and product data through the official Shopify API using OAuth. We only request the permissions required to provide analytics features.
• Meta Ads API — If you connect your Meta Ads account, we pull aggregated ad spend and campaign performance data. We do not access individual user data or audience information.
• Google Ads API — If you connect your Google Ads account, we retrieve aggregated campaign cost data. We do not access personal or audience-level data.

Each integration is optional. You can disconnect any integration at any time from your Settings page. These services operate under their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

Infrastructure Partners

BityCash is built on the following trusted infrastructure providers. Each provider processes data only as necessary to operate the service and under strict confidentiality terms:

• Supabase — our secure database and authentication provider. Your store data and expenses are stored in a Supabase PostgreSQL database with row-level security and encryption at rest.
• Vercel — our hosting and deployment platform. Application code and server-side processing run on Vercel's infrastructure, which provides DDoS protection, TLS encryption, and global CDN.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using industry-standard encryption. Access to your data is restricted to authorized systems and personnel only. We use row-level security in our database to ensure each merchant can only access their own data. We regularly review our security practices to keep your information safe.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your BityCash account is active or as needed to provide the service. When a merchant uninstalls BityCash, access to their store data is immediately revoked. Stored data is retained only as necessary for service operations or legal obligations, and can be deleted upon request.

If you wish to have your data permanently deleted, please contact us at support@bitycash.io and we will process your request promptly.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about your store
• Request deletion of your data at any time
• Disconnect any third-party integration from Settings
• Stop using BityCash entirely by uninstalling the app from your Shopify store

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of BityCash after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
